Julie Marshall is an accomplished communicator and writer with a diverse background in journalism and community organization. Currently serving as the National Communications Coordinator and Colorado State Director for Animal Wellness Action, Julie also contributes as a freelance writer for various publications, including Natural Awakenings Publishing Corp., the Daily Camera, and New Hope Network. In 2010, Julie founded Brainsong, a nonprofit dedicated to creating inclusive concert experiences for families with different abilities. An author, Julie's notable work includes the biography "Making Burros Fly: Cleveland Amory, Animal Rescue Pioneer." Julie possesses a Master of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of Colorado Boulder and a Bachelor of Arts in African and African-American Studies from Brandeis University.
