Intern at New Hope

Emily Thomas is an aspiring educator with a strong background in teaching and community support, demonstrated through diverse experiences in various roles. As a Student Teacher at Norton Public Schools from January to May 2024, Emily facilitated academic progress for students, creating engaging lessons tailored to meet diverse learning needs. Prior experience as a Senior Admissions Intern at Wheaton College involved coaching new interns and executing large outreach events. A Counseling Intern at New Hope, Inc. engaged with domestic violence survivors and contributed to resource development, while a Community Advisor at the College for Social Innovation supported student transitions and wellbeing. Additional experience as a Writers Room Teaching Assistant at 826 Boston provided opportunities to assist students from diverse backgrounds in enhancing their literacy skills. Emily holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Psychology from Wheaton College and an IB Diploma from UWC Costa Rica.
