Daragh Whooley

Daragh Whooley has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Currently, they hold the position of Training & Development Lead Corporate Pensions at New Ireland Assurance since December 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Learning and Development at IFAC Ireland from November 2021 to October 2022. Before that, Daragh worked as the Business Expansion Lead at Ludgate from September 2020 to August 2021. Daragh also gained experience as a Global Talent & Capability professional at DePuy Synthes Companies from January 2020 to October 2020. Earlier in their career, Daragh worked at Bank of Ireland, progressively holding various management positions such as Head of Sales and People Capability, Provincial Manager Munster, Commercial Bank Manager, Head of Premier Wealth, Area Manager Cork, and Financial Planning Manager. Their earliest work experience was as a People and Results Manager at permanent tsb from March 1998 to January 2003.

Daragh Whooley has a Masters of Business Practice (MBS) from University College Cork, specializing in Business Administration and Management. In addition, they studied Organisational Behaviour and Leadership at the Irish Management Institute. Daragh also holds a degree in Banking and Insurance as a Qualified Financial Advisor from IOB. Daragh Whooley is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Organizational Leadership from University College Cork. Daragh has obtained certifications as a Fellow from the Irish Institute of Training & Development (IITD) and as a Juvenile Coach from GAA. Daragh also holds the QFA certification from The Institute of Banking.
