Anna Waltman-Matyasovski is an experienced educator and union representative, currently serving as a UniServ Field Representative for the New Jersey Education Association since August 2017. Previously, Anna spent seven years at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where responsibilities included teaching College Writing as an Instructor of Record, co-chairing a major academic bargaining unit, and serving as a Teaching Assistant for literature courses. Additional experience includes working as an Assistant to the Academic Dean at Johns Hopkins University's Center for Talented Youth. Anna holds a PhD in Modern and Contemporary American Poetry with a focus on Cultural Studies and Political Criticism, as well as an MA in English and American Literature, and a BA in English and Political Science.
