New Jersey Future
Meishka Mitchell, AICP, PP, is the Chief Executive Officer of Emerald Cities Collaborative and a lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania since September 2023. With a longstanding commitment to community development, Meishka serves as Chair of the Board of Directors for New Jersey Future and holds a board member position at the Association of New Jersey Environmental Commissions since January 2018. Additionally, Meishka contributed to the Camden Community Partnership as Vice President from September 2003 to May 2022, where responsibilities included leadership in community initiatives and project management. Meishka's academic background includes a Master's degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from William Paterson University of New Jersey.

Founded in 1987, New Jersey Future is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that promotes sensible and equitable growth, redevelopment, and infrastructure investments to foster healthy, strong, resilient communities; protect natural lands and waterways; increase transportation choices beyond cars; provide access to safe, affordable, and aging-friendly neighborhoods; and fuel a strong economy for everyone.
