Daniel Baez

Daniel Baez is a seasoned IT professional with extensive experience in the healthcare sector. Currently, Daniel serves as the Director of IT, Clinical Applications at Optum since August 2022 and holds a position as a Board Member for the NJHIMSS since June 2022, promoting the improvement of information technology within healthcare. Additionally, Daniel has been a member of the New Jersey Hospital Association since December 2017. Previous roles include Director of Applications at Bergen New Bridge Medical Center from December 2017 to August 2022, where leadership in the clinical and non-clinical applications team was provided, and Applications/Project Manager at Christian Health Care Center from March 2009 to December 2017, overseeing software initiatives. Daniel holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the Universidad del Cono Sur de las Américas and further education in Electrical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
