Barbara Weller

Barbara Weller serves as the Senior Director for Program Development at the New Jersey Institute of Technology since December 2022. Prior to this role, Barbara was the School Engagement Advisor at the NJIT Center for Pre-College Programs from January 2017 to December 2023, focusing on developing new programs and outreach initiatives for K-12 educators and students in STEM fields. Barbara also held the position of Principal at Renaissance @ Rand Middle School in Montclair Public Schools from January 2013 to December 2023, where the focus was on project-based learning within a diverse student body. Earlier experience includes serving as Principal at a K-5 magnet school with an environmental science emphasis in Montclair Public Schools from January 2008 to 2012. Barbara holds a Doctorate in Educational Accountability and Leadership from St. John's University, a Master of Arts in Mathematics from Indiana University Bloomington, and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Washburn University.
