Al Brenner

Al Brenner, P.E. serves as the Director of Construction Management at Advantage Engineering Associates P.C. since March 2021 and as a Lecturer at Rutgers University–New Brunswick, teaching Construction Management to Civil Engineering juniors. A Structural Specialist with the New Jersey State Police since 1999, Al specializes in Disaster Engineering by evaluating structural collapse scenarios. Previous roles include Vice President and Project Manager at Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (2011-2021), and Director of Support Services at the New Jersey Department of Transportation (2003-2011), where responsibilities encompassed facility maintenance and construction management. Al's experience also includes serving as Regional Maintenance Engineer and Executive Assistant in various capacities with the New Jersey Department of Transportation. Al holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Villanova University and a Master of Public Administration from Rutgers, along with Executive Leadership Training from Indiana University.
