James Hardenberg, CPA, CGMA, CAE has extensive experience in the field of accounting and professional education. James began their career at the New Jersey Society of CPAs in 1987 as the Director of Finance/Education, a role they held until 1996. During this time, they were responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organization and managing its educational programs.

In 1997, James joined the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants as the Director of Continuing Professional Education. In this role, they were in charge of developing and delivering professional education programs for the society's members.

In 1998, James returned to the New Jersey Society of CPAs as the Director of the NJCPA Education Foundation, Inc. James held this position until 2013 when they were promoted to the role of Chief Learning Officer. As Chief Learning Officer, James was responsible for managing approximately 400 educational programs that served an average of 25,000 participants annually.

Throughout their career, James has demonstrated their expertise in accounting and professional education, making him a highly qualified and experienced CPA, CGMA, and CAE.

James Hardenberg, CPA, CGMA, CAE obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting from Montclair State University, where they attended from 1979 to 1983. In 1984, they achieved the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from the NJ State Board of Accountancy. In 2001, Hardenberg obtained the Certified Association Executive (CAE) certification from the American Society of Association Executives. Lastly, in 2012, they obtained the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) certification from the AICPA.
