Brendan Kaplan

Brendan Kaplan serves as the Deputy CTO and Head of Innovation for NJ TRANSIT since June 2022, leading the agency's innovation strategy. Prior experience includes roles as an Innovation Strategy Consultant and Transportation Technology Consultant at NJ TRANSIT, and a Subject Matter Expert for the Eastern Transportation Coalition, advocating for Traffic Management Center needs in navigation applications. Kaplan previously held the Director of Transformation position at the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, where responsibilities included data strategy and innovation. Additional experience includes senior roles at the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, New Brunswick Office of Innovation, IEEE, and Macmillan Learning. Kaplan has a B.A. with double majors in Psychology and Political Science from Rutgers University.
