Dr. Tamika Carwell

Dr. Tamika Carwell is the Managing Director at New Leaders for New Schools, a position held since August 2010, with a focus on executing the New Leaders program model to enhance academic achievement in local schools. Prior to this role, Dr. Carwell served as the Director of Leadership and School Performance at New Leaders-Memphis and held various educational positions, including Middle School Educator, Assistant Principal, and Principal at Memphis City Schools from 1998 to 2010. Dr. Carwell earned a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership and Administration from Union University, along with multiple degrees in Political Science, Pre-law, and K-12 Curriculum & Instruction.
