Margaret Young

Margaret Young is an experienced leader in strategy, project management, and operations, currently serving as the Senior Executive Director at New Leaders since October 2012. Previously, Margaret held multiple roles within New Leaders, including Executive Director of Organizational Learning & Strategy and Senior Director of Research Management & Operations. Prior to this, Margaret served as a Senior Policy Advisor at the U.S. Department of Education and as the Director of Government Affairs at Teach For America. Margaret began a career in public service as a Junior Legislative Associate for the Committee on Education and Labor in the U.S. House of Representatives. Margaret holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International/Global Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
