Robert Pitts serves as the Executive Vice President at New Light Technologies, where responsibilities include overseeing company operations, research, product engineering, service delivery, and business development in science and technology consulting across various industries. With extensive experience in project management, Pitts has directed numerous initiatives for federal agencies, including FEMA and the U.S. Census Bureau, focusing on advanced analytics, digital transformation, and comprehensive support services. Formerly an adjunct instructor at the University of Maryland and an enterprise GIS consultant, Pitts boasts a strong background in Geographic Information Science complemented by an M.Sc. from The University of Edinburgh and a BA in Geography from the University of Denver.
