Tim Kuhn

Tim K. has diverse work experience in various industries. Tim started their career as an Editorial Assistant at Diversions Publications, where they generated story ideas and published articles for different magazines. Tim then worked as a Case Manager at Abilities Network, overseeing support plans for adults with developmental disabilities.

After that, Tim joined Discovery Inc as a Strategic Post Operations Coordinator, managing daily operations and coordinating logistics between departments. Tim later served as a Technical Analyst and Senior Administrative Analyst at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, where they administrated the Work Request Board process and performed data analysis functions.

Tim also had a role at YouthMappers as Vice-President and Surveyor, where they co-authored proposals, presented, and secured funding for the club's activities. Additionally, they worked as a Research Support Specialist at Westat, performing imagery analysis for the Energy Information Agency's study.

Currently, Tim is working at New Light Technologies as a Project Manager/Geospatial Analyst. Their responsibilities include GIS support for FEMA and technical writing and editing for various needs.

Overall, Tim has gained expertise in project management, geospatial analysis, technical writing, editing, research support, and administrative tasks throughout their work experience.

Tim K. began their education journey in 2006 at Hood College, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Sociology. Tim successfully completed their degree in 2010.

In 2016, Tim enrolled in Montgomery College and pursued a Certificate in Geographic Information Science and Cartography, which they completed in 2018.

Continuing their education, Tim joined the University of Maryland in 2019, where they pursued a Master of Science degree in Geospatial Information Sciences. This program is expected to conclude in 2023.

In addition to their formal education, Tim also obtained the certification of Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) from the Scrum Alliance in September 2021.
