Cory Windorff

Assistant Professor at New Mexico State University

Cory Windorff is an Assistant Professor at New Mexico State University since July 2020, focusing on the chemistry of actinide and lanthanide elements. Prior to this role, Cory served as an Assistant Professor and Postdoctoral Fellow at Florida State University from August 2017 to July 2020, where the examination of actinide bonding was a key area of study. Cory completed a Ph.D. at UC Irvine, researching low valent organouranium (II/III) complexes in the Evans lab from July 2012 to July 2017, and also held a Graduate Student Fellowship at Los Alamos National Laboratory. Earlier experiences include roles as a Fulfillment Specialist, a Tutor in chemistry at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, and an REU student at the University of Washington, contributing to synthetic and characterization studies in various chemical applications. Education includes a Bachelor's Degree in ACS Chemistry and German from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and further studies at Goethe University Frankfurt.
