Ken Miyagishima

Ken Miyagishima, MBA, LUTCF, has served as the Mayor of Las Cruces since November 2001, following their tenure as an elected representative for District 6 on the City Council. Alongside municipal leadership, Ken has managed Farmers Insurance Ken Miyagishima Insurance Inc. since 1984, becoming a District Manager in 2014. Additionally, Ken contributes to academia as an Adjunct Professor at New Mexico State University's College of Business since January 2022. Previously, Ken held the position of County Commissioner for Dona Ana County and served as Commission Chairman, along with roles such as President of the Rio Grande Council of Governments and College Instructor at Dona Ana Community College. Ken holds an MBA from The University of Texas at El Paso and a BBA in Finance & Real Estate from New Mexico State University.
