Elton Taylor

Elton Taylor, Jr. currently serves as the Director of Major and Planned Giving at the New Orleans Museum of Art, beginning December 2023. In this role, Elton is responsible for managing a portfolio of major and planned giving prospects. Previously, Elton was a Strategy Partner at The Henry Group, a consulting firm focused on nonprofits and small businesses, and served as Director of Philanthropic Engagement at Cause Effective, leading fundraising and communication initiatives aimed at social change. Elton's extensive experience includes roles such as Development Officer for Foundation Relations at Reveal from The Center for Investigative Reporting, and various positions at Vogel Alcove, where Elton oversaw grant management and individual giving. Early career experiences include work as a Campaign Associate at United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, a Licensed Sales Agent at Globe Life, and a Member Services Coordinator at the Longview Chamber of Commerce. Elton holds a BA in Communications from Loyola University New Orleans and additional education from WACE Academy.
