Dr. Darvelle Hutchins

Dr. Darvelle Hutchins currently serves as Vice President of Equity & Social Impact for both the New Orleans Saints and the New Orleans Pelicans since July 2022. With a rich background in organizational communication, Dr. Hutchins worked as a consultant for the US Army from 2019 to 2022, focusing on cultural intelligence training, and served as a lecturer at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo in 2020-2021. Previous roles include Associate Manager for HR Talent Acquisition at TDS Telecommunications LLC, Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Missouri-Columbia, and Graduate Research Assistant/Teaching Assistant at Marquette University. Dr. Hutchins holds a PhD in Organizational Communication from the University of Missouri-Columbia, as well as advanced degrees in Organizational Communication and Human Resources from Marquette University and Ottawa University, respectively. The research focus includes culture, power, and stigmatized identities.
