Augie Neff has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Augie started their career in 1989 as a Quality Manager at Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel and then moved on to Gulf States Steel in the same role. In 1992, they worked as a Technical Services Manager at Empire Detroit Steel, where they managed the Quality Department and supervised a team of 13 people.
In 1997, Neff joined AK Steel Corporation as a Senior Technical Services Engineer, supporting sales in product launch, trial development, cost reduction initiatives, and resolving nonconformant material issues. Augie worked on the largest account, GM Grand Blanc, and successfully reduced rejection rates.
From 2004 to 2006, Neff worked as an Account Manager at New Process Steel, where they achieved significant growth in gross profit and volume by building strong relationships with key decision makers and spearheading cost reduction initiatives. Augie also developed supply chains for new product development.
Following this, from 2006 to 2011, Neff served as a Sales Manager at New Process Steel, managing a sales force and developing strategic sales plans. Augie successfully increased profit margins and implemented market pricing strategies.
Lastly, Neff held the position of Sales Manager - National Accounts at New Process Steel from 2012 onwards. In this role, they acted as the corporate contact for various multi-facility manufacturing clients, led negotiations, and championed cost reduction and new product launch projects.
Augie Neff attended The Ohio State University from 1984 to 1989 and obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Metallurgical Engineering. In 1983, they also took a summer course at Miami University in Paper Science and Engineering.
