Shelly Balzer, SHRM-CP

Shelly Balzer, SHRM-CP, has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Shelly began their career in 1992 at the Auburn Police Department as a Dispatcher, where they efficiently handled emergency and non-emergency calls, provided advice and referrals, and coordinated emergency services. In 1998, they joined Steel Dynamics, Inc. as a Lab Tech, responsible for testing galvanized materials and conducting measurements. Since 2000, they have been working at New Process Steel, L.P. in various roles, including Senior Human Resource Manager. In this position, they have been involved in HR generalist responsibilities, such as compensation, employee relations, labor relations, benefits, recruiting, training, and safety. Shelly has also served as a member of the Safety Committee, coordinating safety events and leading lean initiatives. Shelly Balzer has proven herself to be a dedicated and versatile professional in both emergency services and human resources.

Shelly Balzer, SHRM-CP, holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology obtained from Trine University-Fort Wayne Regional Campus, which they attended from 2013 to 2014. Prior to that, they earned a BA in Psychology from Purdue University Fort Wayne, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. Shelly also completed high school at Paulding Exempted Villiage High School from 1980 to 1984. In addition to their education, they have obtained the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification from SHRM in February 2017.
