Tom Coakes

Tom Coakes has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Tom started their career at Lasercomb Group in 2011 as a Customer Services Executive, where they handled client inquiries, processed orders, and improved internal processes. Tom then worked at West Mercia Police from 2012 to 2013 as a Crime Investigation Assistant, where they organized and categorized crime files and trained new staff on police IT systems. In 2013, they transitioned to a Marketing Executive role at Just IT, where they served three businesses by generating leads and creating brand awareness. Tom also served as the primary copywriter, designer, and blogger for both B2B and B2C audiences. In 2015, Tom joined Acuris Global as a Software Developer until 2021, working on software development projects. From 2021 to 2022, they worked at Pharmaspectra as a Senior Software Engineer, contributing to software engineering projects. Subsequently, they joined SaltPay in 2022 as a Senior Software Engineer, until their most recent position as a Senior Software Engineer at New Project Media (NPM) in 2023. Tom's career progression demonstrates their expertise in software engineering and their ability to take on diverse roles in different industries.

Tom Coakes attended Makers Academy in 2015, where they completed a 3-month Coding Bootcamp. Prior to that, they studied at the University of Kent from 2008 to 2011, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Linguistics.
