Brian Emerson

Brian Emerson is New Relic’s Chief Product Officer, responsible for leading the company’s platform innovation strategy, user experience and roadmap execution. With more than 25 years of experience in the software industry spanning all facets of IT, SaaS, cloud and DevOps technologies, Emerson has a passion for building great products that people love to use.

Previously, Emerson was Group Vice President & General Manager at ServiceNow, where he led the IT Operations Management (ITOM) business. During his eight years at the company, he helped scale ITOM revenue by 9x while overseeing strategy, go-to-market, and product execution. Under his leadership, the ITOM portfolio became one of ServiceNow’s fastest-growing businesses. Before ServiceNow, Emerson held senior product leadership roles at VMware, BMC Software, and Remedy, where he worked on some of the industry’s most widely adopted enterprise software solutions.

Emerson earned his business degree in Operations Management & Information Systems from Santa Clara University.
