New Rhein is a Venture Capital/ Private Equity investor. Its partners are former pharmaceutical industry executives having both operational and M&A experience. New Rhein invests in healthcare companies with the objective of helping management teams build their business into a profile strategic investors would find attractive. We use our knowledge of what strategic buyers want and our relationships to help our portfolio companies achieve this goal. 

Investment areas of focus include specialty Rx (eg hospital), branded and difficult to make Gx, OTC, biologics, vaccines, and emerging markets (in particular China and Brazil). We are interested in product only deals, carve-outs and entire company purchases.
