Erin Smith

Erin Smith is a seasoned GIS Specialist and Graphics Specialist at New South Associates, Inc. since June 2014, focusing on utilizing GIS for archaeological and historical research, data processing, and spatial analysis. Prior experience includes serving as Field Director at Montgomery Archaeological Consultants, conducting numerous survey and monitoring projects to protect cultural resources, and working as Senior Archaeological Data Analyst at the Florida Division of Historical Resources, where responsibilities involved processing cultural resource information and maintaining extensive archival records. Erin's foundational experience in archaeology began with fieldwork at FSU/Bureau of Archaeological Research and a summer role as a photojournalist at The Tallahassee Democrat. Erin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Archaeology and Classical Archaeology from Florida State University.
