Marva R. Pittman, Ed.D has over 16 years of work experience in education. Their most recent role is as Senior Impact Consultant at New Teacher Center, where they started in June 2021 and has been promoted to this position from Impact Consultant. Prior to that, they worked at National Heritage Academies for six years as a School Administrator where they were responsible for instructional leadership, social justice, data and equity, mentoring novice teachers and school administrators. Marva R. was also the Founding Middle School Dean and a Dean of Excellence Finalist. Their earliest work experience was as a Teacher at Guilford County Schools for ten years from August 2005 to June 2015.

Marva R. Pittman, Ed.D has a Bachelor's degree in Music Teacher Education, which they obtained from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2005. In 2014, they completed a Master's degree in School Administration from the same institution. In 2017, they earned a Specialist in Education (Ed.S) degree and later on a Doctor of Education - EdD with a field of study in Educational Leadership from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in the year 2021.
