Shannon Doody has a strong background in education and strategy. Most recently, they worked as the Director of Growth and District Success - Midwest at New Tech Network. Prior to that, they held various leadership roles at Chicago Public Schools, including Executive Director of Strategy and Director of Strategic Planning. Before their time in Chicago, Shannon worked as the Director of School Strategy at Tulsa Public Schools and as a Broad Resident at The Broad Center. Shannon also has experience in the higher education sector, having served as the Director of Education Workforce Partnerships and Coordinator of School-Workforce Initiatives at the University of Indianapolis. Shannon started their career in education as an Admission Counselor at Valparaiso University and as a Paraprofessional at Lion's Creek Elementary.
Shannon Doody has a strong educational background and a focus on education leadership. Shannon obtained their Master of Education in Education Leadership from The Broad Residency, where they studied from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, they earned their Master of Arts (M.A.) in School Counseling and Clinical Psychology from Ball State University, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. Shannon started their academic journey at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, where they obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology from 2006 to 2009. Additionally, Shannon holds a Professional Educator's License in School Services--School Counselor, which they obtained in May 2013.

New Tech Network (NTN) is a national nonprofit dedicated to systemic and equitable change in education. We center NTN schools as the units of change, and teachers and school leaders as the agents of that change. Partnering with districts and working closely with leadership teams makes change scalable and sustainable. After twenty years of change making, we have learned what works and can adapt quickly. New Tech Network schools — now over 200 strong — are committed to college and career ready outcomes, supportive and inclusive culture, meaningful and equitable instruction, and purposeful assessment. The student experience is tied directly to deeper learning outcomes. Students gain skills and use their voice in ways that prepare them for life beyond school. Project-based learning in NTN schools allows students to engage with material in creative, culturally relevant ways, experience it in context, and share their learning with peers.
