Michelle Miller has over 13 years of experience in the education field. Michelle began their career in 2002 as an Instructional Coach and Curriculum Specialist in the Hudson School District, where they developed and implemented professional development programs and assisted teachers in setting goals. Michelle also served as a Middle School Athletic Coach, coaching various sports and managing communication with participants and parents. Michelle then became the Gifted and Talented Coordinator, working with teachers to develop differentiated curriculum and individual education plans. Michelle also organized and facilitated projects and activities for the school. From 2005 to 2011, they taught English Language Arts to 7th grade students, focusing on curriculum development and classroom management. In 2011, Michelle transitioned to the New Ulm Public School District, where they initially served as an Assistant Principal at New Ulm High School. In 2016, they were promoted to the role of Principal at New Ulm Middle School.

Michelle Miller has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Education from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, which they obtained between 1997 and 2001. Michelle then pursued a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Teaching and Learning at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota from 2004 to 2005. In 2010 to 2011, they completed an Education Specialist (Ed.S) degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Minnesota State University, Mankato. Most recently, they attended Minnesota State University, Mankato again in 2018 to 2019 to study Superintendency and Educational System Administration.
