Samantha Valcarcel

Samantha Valcarcel is an experienced school counselor and college support associate with a robust background in college counseling and student support. Since December 2017, Samantha has supported high school seniors at New Visions for Public Schools through the college application process, managing the College Counseling Office and engaging with families on college planning needs. Prior to this role, Samantha served as a Saturday Advisor at SEO Scholars NYC, where college counseling was provided to high-achieving seniors. Additional experience includes internships at New Visions Charter HS and In-Tech Academy, as well as a college assistant position at CUNY Bronx Community College, focusing on tutoring and student advising. Samantha holds a Master's degree in Counselor Education from Lehman College, obtained in 2017.
