Miguel Garcia

Miguel Garcia has a diverse work experience. Miguel started their career as a Programming Trainee and Software Engineer at IBS AB in 2006. Miguel later became a Software Engineer and Java Trainer at Behaviour Training in 2008. From 2007 to 2012, they worked as the Head of Information Systems and Technologies at EGP - University of Porto Business School. In 2012, they joined Rocket Internet GmbH, where they held several roles including Team Leader for various online shopping platforms. In 2013, they founded VentureOak and served as the Managing Director, Founder, and CTO until 2019. From 2013 to 2018, they also worked as a Trainer at Vantagem+ Consultores de Formação - Empresas. In 2017, they joined XING and served as the General Manager at XING Portugal, XING Barcelona, and XING Valencia. Miguel continued their role as the General Manager at XING Portugal until early 2020. Most recently, they joined New Work SE in 2020 as the General Manager and VP Technology.

Miguel Garcia pursued their education at various institutions. In 2001, they enrolled at Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto, where they focused on Informatics and Computing Engineering until 2006. In 2006, they obtained a certification as a Certified Professional Trainer from edom consultores. Following this, they pursued an MBA at Porto Business School from 2008 to 2010, specializing in Business, Management, Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Leadership.
