Edward Lau

Edward Lau serves as the Executive Director, Chief Financial Officer, and Joint Company Secretary at New World Development Company Limited since June 2020. Prior to this role, Edward held various leadership positions including Chief Financial Officer at Kaisa Group from June 2018 to May 2020, and Director of Loans and Structured Credit at Deutsche Bank from January 2017 to June 2018. Edward's experience also includes serving as Director and Head of Equity Capital Markets at Barclays Investment Bank from 2010 to January 2017, and Vice President in Equity Capital Markets at Deutsche Bank from 2004 to 2010. Edward Lau holds a Master of Accounting and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting from the University of Michigan Business School, complemented by an education at Wah Yan College, Hong Kong.
