Alana Wiesing is a skilled percussionist with extensive experience in orchestral performance and education. Currently serving as Principal Timpani for both the Arizona Music Fest and the Tucson Symphony Orchestra, Alana also holds the position of Adjunct Professor of Percussion at the University of Arizona, where responsibilities include teaching private lessons and coaching ensembles. In addition, Alana acts as an Alumni Percussion Faculty member at the National Orchestral Institute + Festival, leading masterclasses and mentoring students. Over the years, Alana has contributed as a substitute or extra percussionist and timpanist for various orchestras, including the National Symphony Orchestra, New World Symphony, and The Phoenix Symphony. Alana's academic background includes a Master’s Degree in Percussion Performance from Indiana University Bloomington and multiple Bachelor's Degrees in the same field from both Indiana University and Arizona State University.
