Susanna Loewy

Teaching Faculty at New World Symphony

Susanna Loewy serves as the Executive Director of the Network for New Music since September 2023 and holds positions as Flute Faculty at both Haverford College and Rowan University, starting in October 2022 and August 2020, respectively. Additionally, Susanna is part of the Teaching Faculty at the New World Symphony, where responsibilities include mentoring NWS Fellows through workshops and coaching. Since September 2009, Susanna has also been a Flute Teacher/Teaching Artist with The Philadelphia Orchestra and was the Program Director and Lead Teaching Artist for Project 440 from February 2016 to May 2023. Educational achievements include a Doctor of Musical Arts, Master of Music, and Bachelor of Music from Rutgers University–New Brunswick and the Cleveland Institute of Music, as well as a High School Diploma from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.
