Amit M. Shelat, DO, MPA, MHCM, FACP, FAAN, FNYAM, FFSMB, is a highly experienced neurologist currently serving as an Attending Neurologist at Medsurant Health and Stony Brook University Medical Center, as well as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at NYU Langone Long Island Hospital. In addition to clinical roles, Amit holds significant positions such as Vice-Chairman of the New York State Board for Medicine, Member of the Board for Professional Medical Conduct, and Director-at-Large for the New York State Neurological Society. Amit is involved with the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners as a National Faculty Member in Neurology, contributes to the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council, and previously served as Chairman of the Federation of State Medical Boards' Bylaws Committee. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree, a Master of Public Administration in Health Policy & Management, and a Master of Science in Health Care Management from prestigious institutions.
