Abdulrahman Seleim

Systems Engineer at New York Air Brake Corporation

Abdulrahman Seleim has a strong background in engineering and research, with experience working in a variety of roles and industries. Abdulrahman most recently worked at New York Air Brake as a Systems Engineer, starting in June 2019. Prior to that, they were a Multi-body Dynamics Engineer at FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles from May 2016 to May 2019. Abdulrahman also worked as a Systems Engineer at General Dynamics Land Systems from February 2015 to May 2016, where they performed full vehicle dynamic simulations and validated vehicle models using various tools. Abdulrahman Seleim has an extensive education history, holding multiple degrees in engineering. Abdulrahman began their academic journey at Ain Shams University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Mechatronics Engineering from 2002 to 2007. Following this, they furthered their education at the University of Waterloo, obtaining a Master's degree in Engineering between 2008 and 2010.

Continuing to expand their knowledge and expertise, Seleim enrolled at the University of Windsor, where they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Industrial Engineering from 2010 to 2016.

In addition to their formal education, Abdulrahman Seleim has also obtained several certifications to enhance their skill set. These certifications include courses focused on critical thinking, effective communication, self-confidence, building business relationships, conflict management, influencing others, negotiation skills, and Python programming. These certifications were obtained through LinkedIn, with the most recent certification, "Python Essential Training," being achieved in April 2021.
