Katy Nortz

Katy Nortz has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Katy currently works at New York Air Brake, starting as a Human Resources Intern in June 2021 and progressing to the role of Human Resources Coordinator in January 2022. Katy is currently serving as a Human Resources Generalist.

Prior to their time at New York Air Brake, Katy worked at Old Navy as a Brand Associate from April 2017 to May 2021. Additionally, they gained valuable experience as an Intern at Children's Miracle Network Hospitals from December 2018 to June 2019.

Katy Nortz pursued their education chronologically, starting with their Associate of Arts and Sciences degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities from SUNY Jefferson Community College in 2017. Katy then continued their studies at the same institution and obtained an Associate of Arts degree in Human Services, General in 2018.

In 2019, Katy enrolled at the State University of New York at Oswego, where they focused on Public Relations and pursued a degree in Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management. Katy completed their studies in 2021.

In addition to their formal education, Katy has obtained several certifications. This includes certifications in planning for Hybrid Organizations, strategic human resources, business etiquette, icebreakers for teams, meetings, and groups, pivoting to virtual events, event planning foundations, project management foundations, developing a fundraising video for nonprofits, the data science of nonprofit service organizations, nonprofit management foundations, and Excel essential training. These certifications were obtained from LinkedIn, with different completion dates ranging from 2020 to 2022.
