Melissa Chin started their career at AT&T Bell Laboratories as a Member of Technical Staff from 1990 to 1995. Melissa then worked as a Staff Engineer at Siemens Wireless Terminals from 1996 to 1998. From 1998 to 2003, they served as a Senior Staff Engineer at Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications. Melissa then joined NEC America - Wireless Engineering Division as a Senior Staff Engineer, where they worked as a Test Lead and Requirements Engineer from 2003 to 2005. Melissa then spent 12 years at Siemens Logistics LLC, starting as a System Engineer PM in 2006 and eventually becoming a Group Lead, responsible for technical leadership and mentoring. During this time, they also served as a Test Lead for the Remote Performance Diagnostic Server (RPDS) software test team. Most recently, Melissa has joined New York Air Brake as a System Engineer in 2021.
Melissa Chin has a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University. Melissa also holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Rutgers University–New Brunswick. Additionally, Melissa has obtained several certifications, including "Engage the Likability Effect in the Job Search," "Programming Foundations: Software Testing/QA," "Test Automation Foundations," "Agile Foundations," and "Transitioning from Waterfall to Agile Project Management," all from LinkedIn. The certifications were obtained between August and October 2020.
