As Executive Vice President and Chief Financial and Business Officer, Jay Mohr provides financial, business development, and venture investing leadership to New York Blood Center Enterprises and is also responsible for leading the cellular therapy manufacturing, National Cord Blood Program, and facilities operations of NYBC.

Jay brings 30 years of successful executive leadership in the biopharmaceutical industry. Having previously served as a C-level executive of several pharma and life science companies, Jay has vast experience in capital formation, P&L management, and corporate and business development, and in these roles, his efforts generated significant shareholder value. He co-founded Locust Walk Partners, a global investment bank that executes strategic transactions and capital raising for innovative life science companies. He was also the founding CEO of Gloucester Pharmaceuticals, a hematology therapeutics company acquired by Celgene. Earlier in his career, Jay worked in senior business development and commercial roles at Variagenics, EMD Serono (now Merck KGaA), and Schering-Plough (new Merck).
