After serving as Executive Director of Youth D.A.R.E.S in Brooklyn NY from 1997-2003, Michael joined the NYCID family. Michael has been in the field of social services for over 20 years addressing the needs of at-risk youth.
At the New York Center for Interpersonal Development he has served as Director of New Beginnings Alternative High School; the Advantage After Schools program; GPS Attendance Improvement Programs at Staten Island’s Port Richmond High School, and the ARCHES Probation Mentoring Program. GPS and ARCHES programs are currently the best run programs in New York City as determined\recognized by United Way and New York City Department of Probation, respectively.
