Tia Powell Harris

Tia Powell Harris is the VP of Education and Community Engagement at New York City Center since August 2021. Previously, Tia served as the CEO at Duke Ellington School of the Arts from September 2017 to June 2020, where Tia was instrumental in ensuring the sustainability of the school. Tia has also held leadership roles at Weeksville Heritage Center and the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery. Tia holds a Bachelor of Science in Speech and Drama Education and a Master of Arts in Communication Arts and Theatre from the University of Maryland.
