Camara Stokes H.

Camara Stokes H. is a legal professional with a focus on racial justice and education policy, currently serving as Racial Justice Counsel and Education Counsel at the New York Civil Liberties Union since January 2022. Previously, Camara held positions as a Research Assistant at the ACLU, where support was provided to Professor Deborah Archer, and worked with the Suspension Representation Project as a 3L Advisor, Student Advocate, and Co-Director. Additional experience includes fellowships with the NAACP and the Advancement Project National Office, as well as roles at the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Legal Services Corporation, Neighborhood Legal Services Program, and Connecticut Voices for Children. Camara earned a Doctor of Law degree from New York University School of Law in 2022 and a Bachelor's Degree in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Vermont in 2016.
