Jake Martinez

Jake Martinez serves as the Deputy Director of Campaigns & Strategy at the New York Civil Liberties Union, leading initiatives focused on civil rights and liberties in educational settings since August 2016. Previously, Jake held leadership positions in youth programs and organizing, significantly expanding youth engagement across New York State. Alongside work at the NYCLU, Jake is a Teaching Assistant at Arizona State University, facilitating discussions and evaluating student work. Previous experience includes roles at GLSEN, where Jake delivered training for educators, and at the ACLU of San Diego & Imperial Counties, managing a volunteer program. Jake holds a Master of Science in Family and Human Development and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Psychology from Arizona State University.
