Doris Harper-Brown

Doris Harper-Brown is a dedicated education professional with extensive experience in community-oriented roles. Currently serving as the Community School Director at New York Edge since October 2023, Doris oversees the implementation of the community school model, focusing on multi-tier student interventions, parent engagement, and partnerships within the New York City Public Schools. Previously, Doris worked as a Program Coordinator at Girls Inc. of New York City, developing programs that address the academic and emotional needs of girls and young women. With diverse roles including Program Director and Interim Site Director at SCO Family of Services, a Residential Aide at Project Renewal, and a Reading Specialist for the NYC Department of Education, Doris has consistently demonstrated a commitment to supporting underrepresented communities. Doris holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Special Education and Teaching from Touro University.
