New York Hall of Science
Smelanda Jean-Baptiste currently serves as the Grant Operations Manager at the New York Hall of Science, overseeing a portfolio of institutional funders and managing the administrative operations of grants. Previously, Smelanda held the position of Manager of Institutional Advancement at the Women's Prison Association, where leadership in private fundraising operations and donor management was demonstrated. Additional experience includes roles such as Development Associate and various fellowships focused on community health, research, and advocacy, including managing maternal health workshops for Haitian women and conducting sociological research. Smelanda holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Anthropology with a concentration in Narrative Journalism from Denison University, graduating cum laude.
