Brian Somerville

Brian Somerville is a Senior Network Engineer at NYISO, with extensive experience in managing and optimizing networking infrastructures across various organizations. At NYISO since July 2018, responsibilities include supporting data center operations and implementing advanced networking solutions involving Cisco and Juniper technologies. Prior to this, Brian held senior engineering roles at QoS, Consilium1, and CSC, where project management and the deployment of new technologies in data centers were key tasks. Early career experience includes network support roles at Office for Technology, Community Care Physicians, and PSINet, along with military service as an Aviation Ordanceman on the USS George Washington. Brian holds a BS in Networking from The Sage Colleges and an Associate's Degree in Telecommunications from Hudson Valley Community College.
