Manish Sainani

Manish Sainani is an Associate Market Design Specialist at NYISO since February 2023, with prior experience as an Academic Coach at Carnegie Mellon University from February to December 2022. Manish completed an internship at the CMU Scott Institute for Energy Innovation, assisting with article writing and event coordination, as well as an engineering internship at PPL Electric Utilities, focused on dashboard visualizations and transmission standards. Additional experience includes a student internship at TATA Power, where analysis of renewable asset performance was conducted, and a managerial role at SPCE Robocon, overseeing project finances and resources. Early exposure to electrical distribution systems was gained during a trainee position at Brihanmumbai Electric Supply And Transport Undertaking. Manish holds a Master of Science in Energy Science, Technology and Policy from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering from Sardar Patel College of Engineering.
