Maria Belenky

Maria Belenky currently serves as the Lead Market Design Specialist at PJM Interconnection since April 2023. Prior to this role, Maria was the Manager of Market Development at OhmConnect from May 2018 to April 2023, where responsibilities included leading policy development and compliance efforts for demand response in California’s Resource Adequacy Program and representing the organization in regulatory proceedings. Maria's experience also includes positions as Director of Research and Policy, Senior Market Analyst, and Market Analyst at Climate Advisers, focusing on clean energy data synthesis. Additional roles include work as a Senior Associate at the Natural Resources Defense Council, where research on geothermal energy in Chile was conducted, and as a Program Officer at Results for Development Institute, assisting in the establishment of a health care innovations center. Maria began their career as an Institutional Development Intern at IMIFAP. Educational credentials include a Master of Arts in International Economics from Johns Hopkins SAIS and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania.
