Pennie Turgeon

Pennie Turgeon currently serves as the Vice President for Information Technology and CIO/CISO at the New York Institute of Technology since October 2019, where responsibilities include aligning IT resources with institutional priorities and ensuring the security and efficiency of IT services. Prior to this role, Pennie was the Vice President for Information Technology and CIO at Clark University from January 2006 to October 2019, and served as a Board Member for NERCOMP from March 2005 to March 2013. Earlier in her career, Pennie held the position of Director of Academic Technology & Distance Learning at Worcester Polytechnic Institute from January 1991 to January 2006, where Pennie managed technology solutions for educational enhancement and oversaw the distance learning program. Additional experience includes a role as a Systems Developer at Texas Instruments in 1990 and as a Marketing Sales Associate at IBM in 1987. Academic qualifications include an MBA in Management Information Systems from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Worcester State University.
