Education Director at NY Kids Club & NY Preschool

Charlotte George has a diverse background in education and has held various roles throughout their career. Charlotte started their career in 2009 as an After-school Clubs Director at City Year, where they assisted as a teacher, tutor, mentor, and leader of preK and after-school programs. Charlotte also implemented a behavior initiative at the school and helped improve the literacy scores of the lowest performing third-grade students.

After City Year, Charlotte worked at Teach For America as a Kindergarten Teacher from June 2010 to August 2012. Charlotte then moved on to Community Academy public Charter School, where they continued as a Kindergarten Teacher from August 2010 to August 2012.

In 2012, Charlotte joined Success Academy Charter Schools and served as a Kindergarten Teacher from August 2012 to August 2014. Charlotte was later promoted to the role of First Grade Teacher and worked in that position from August 2014 to September 2017. From September 2017 to April 2018, they worked as an Educational Consultant at Success Academy Charter Schools.

Most recently, Charlotte has been working at NY Kids Club and NY Preschool since April 2018. Charlotte started as an Education Director and transitioned to the same role in May 2019. The end date for their current role is not provided.

Charlotte George obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Government from Butler University between 2005 and 2009. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education and Teaching at George Mason University from 2010 to 2012.
