Tara O'Brien has a diverse work experience in marketing and management roles. Tara has served as the Managing Director and Head of Segment Marketing at New York Life Investments since 2018. Prior to this, they worked at PIMCO as the Senior Vice President and Head of Channel Marketing - Americas from 2012 to 2018. At PIMCO, they developed strategic marketing plans, led a team of 12, and directed larger marketing efforts to support business priorities. Before PIMCO, Tara O'Brien worked at Nuveen Investments in various roles, including Vice President of Channel Marketing and Vice President of Product Marketing. Here, they contributed to strategy development, developed marketing campaigns, and managed a mutual fund marketing team. Earlier in their career, they worked at Calvert Group as the Advertising/Promotions Manager, where they developed promotional materials and launched marketing campaigns for socially responsible mutual funds. Tara O'Brien started their career at Mitchell & Associates as an Account Executive/Media Buyer, where they managed relationships and placed media contracts for clients.

Tara O'Brien obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Business from the University of Maryland in 1993. In addition, they hold certifications in Series 24 and Series 7 from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
