Tess Palmateer

Tess Palmateer, PhD, LP, CMPC, currently serves as the Mental Health Coordinator for the New York Mets, a position held since February 2024. Previously, Tess was the Director of Athlete Mental Health and Performance at Florida Atlantic University from August 2022 to February 2024, and completed a Doctoral Internship at the Oklahoma Sport Psychology Consortium. Academic involvement includes roles within the Center for Sport Psychology and Performance Excellence at the University of North Texas and practicum therapy at the University of Texas at Dallas. Tess's educational background encompasses a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in Sport Psychology, an MS in Psychology, and an MS in Exercise Sciences (Sport Psychology) from esteemed institutions including the University of North Texas and the University of Toronto, alongside an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Brock University.
